What is MTS?
MTS stands for the ministry training strategy and is a 2 year ministry apprenticeship.
"Being an MTS apprentice involves a two year program based within a church or a specialist ministry team. It is essentially on-the-job training for ministry, taken on prior to theological study, and centred on prayer, Bible study and practical ministry. The essence of MTS is not formal instruction but learning through active participation in evangelism and Bible teaching. The two years provides enough time to establish ministries and learn from success and failure. There is no one right way of serving in a ministry apprenticeship. Though it will involve learning from God’s Word and teaching it to others, how this will be done will vary from place to place."

For the moment, here's what you can be doing:
Prayer points:
-That I would settle in quickly and find my feet in this new job
-That I won’t feel overwhelmed and that I will be wise about how much I commit to.
-That God would use me to build his Kingdom.
I'll also be having an afternoon tea for those who would like to support me through the next to years. It will be a time to catch up, find out exactly some of the things I'll be doing and find out how you can best support me through my ministry apprenticeship. Just send me an email at cfreitag at standys dot org dot au for details about the afternoon tea.
